“So far, we have been happy with the program and just wish that it was bigger,” said Aly Shaw, an organizer with the Our Water Campaign.

She said the local coalition, which lobbies for publicly controlled water, has been going door to door to help sign up residents for the ZeroWater brand pitchers. The Bucks-County based supplier Zero Technologies did not immediately respond to an inquiry Monday.

“A lot of people don’t know where to get one. It’s just a matter of getting the word out,” Ms. Shaw said.
